Stephen coffey

Stephen has been involved as a principal, broker and consultant, in buying, selling, leasing and investing in business, real estate and business equities for over 30 years.  He is highly skilled in the educational, medical office and retail industry. Stephen has diverse experience in asset management, leasing and development working for private equity / investment managers, national REIT and industry leading retail, education and medical office tenants, landlords and owners.   His private equity experience included asset management, leasing and retail investment. His landlord experience included work as Vice President of Leasing for a national REIT responsible for the leasing and management of approximately 13 million square feet of regional, community and neighborhood centers containing retail, office, educational and medical uses.  Stephen’s tenant experience included leadership roles managing and growing national portfolios of locations for corporate real estate departments including Cottonwood Financial, Macy’s, Zale Corporation and Taco Bell.  Stephen holds a Texas Real Estate Broker’s License and is a graduate of Baylor University.  He is active in Denton County holding board positions at the Sanger Education Foundation, Serve Denton, City of Denton Human Services Advisory Commission and City of Denton Citizens Bond Advisory Commission. Member ICSC since 1988.

David Gruenwald

David joined Grey Hawk Advisors in 2016. His focus is on investment sales and tenant representation in the state of Texas. He has represented clients such as Taco Bell, Whataburger, Anytime Fitness and Dunkin Donut among others.  A native Iowan, David is a graduate from The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and began his real estate career in 2009 after 20 plus years of successful “Solution Selling” in the Information Technology industry.  David has been involved in commercial real estate representing buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of properties. David is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Mark Borison

Mark has spent more than 35 years helping organizations unlock the full potential of their real estate portfolios—whether in education, retail, aviation, or private equity. Mark’s work includes oversight of one of the largest public real estate portfolios in the country: 78 million square feet, 3,200 parcels, and 21,000 buildings. It’s a big responsibility, but one that he approaches with a deep sense of purpose—because real estate isn’t just about buildings, it’s about creating spaces that serve communities.  Over the years, Mark has led teams from a dozen people to more than 400, and learned that success comes from clarity, accountability, and collaboration. He loves tackling complex challenges—whether it’s launching workforce housing programs, managing airport assets, or driving multibillion-dollar retail expansions—and turning them into opportunities for growth and impact.  Mark’s background includes a Juris Doctorate and leadership roles with organizations like John Wayne Airport, Macy’s, The Limited, and Eddie Bauer. These experiences taught him how to bridge strategy and execution, and how to align real estate decisions with broader educational, fiscal, and community goals.  Outside of work, Mark is passionate about innovation and problem-solving and is always looking for ways to make a positive difference.
